App Test Engineer

Assignment Description We are seeking an App Test Engineer for an assignment requiring full on-site presence. You have strong observational, analytical and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and clarify expected behaviour. You work collaboratively and pragmatically, are comfortable testing incomplete feature increments and adapt as implementation details change. Mandatory Qualifications Hands-on experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting mobile test automation using Appium and pytest, including writing clear, reusable Python test code. Understanding of mobile testing considerations, including device and OS differences, permissions, connectivity, interruptions, navigation and app state. Hands-on experience manually testing mobile apps in agile product development, with strong exploratory testing skills, including learning, designing tests and assessing behaviour as features evolve. Ability to interpret backlog tickets, acceptance criteria, user flows, designs and technical dependencies, with good judgement in determining test coverage based on risk, scope of change, customer impact and feature maturity. Experience identifying, documenting, communicating and following up on defects with software engineers.
