Application Support Engineer

For our client WirelessCar, we are looking for Application Support Engineer. We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join one of their Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, supporting one of WirelessCar’s largest connected vehicle customer deliveries. The team has a strong operational focus, handling incoming support tickets and operational events in a complex 24x7 environment. Much of your day-to-day work will be driven by incoming support tickets. You will investigate service issues using logs, monitoring and observability data, build an understanding of what has happened and which services are affected, and engage the correct DevOps teams when deeper investigation or technical changes are required. You will also take part in handling incidents when they occur and participate in the team’s on-call rotation. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and problem solving and is comfortable working in a reactive operational environment. You are analytical, curious, and structured, and enjoy building an understanding of complex systems and how different services interact. We believe you have: • Experience working with business-critical 24x7 services • Experience troubleshooting applications or services using logs, monitoring and observability data • Experience with Incident Management and Problem Management processes • Good technical understanding of modern software and cloud-based services • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Fluent English, spoken and written Meritorious • Experience from application support, SRE, technical operations, DevOps, or similar roles • Experience working with cloud environments • Experience supporting complex systems involving multiple services and dependencies • Experience working in Agile organizations An on-call rotation is included approximately every 6 weeks.
