Art Director, Print Innovation

What You'll Do: Bring ideas, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to shape ideas as a team. Concept and pitch specialty print finishes, partnering with creatives and print suppliers to test and refine concepts into compelling, manufacturable cards. Provide Production Artists with clear creative direction and constructive feedback from concept through final execution. Bring an analytical eye to print-ready files, print separations, proofs, and physical samples to anticipate how builds will come together and ensure quality. Explore visual trends, collectible products, materials, and emerging print technologies to bring new ideas to Magic. What You'll Bring: 4+ years of professional graphic design and/or art direction experience, ideally with physical products, print, packaging, or collectibles. Hands-on experience developing specialty print treatments and a strong understanding of offset printing, prepress, color separations, materials, and finishing processes. A portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, graphic design, art direction, and physical print execution. Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with a strong eye for detail and experience preparing technically accurate print-production files. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance creative ambition with manufacturing feasibility and a passion for experimentation and continuous learning. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
