You’ll gain hands-on experience in management reporting, budgeting, audit, tax compliance, and inventory control, working across UK Biotage entities.</span></p><p><span>This is a great opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and supportive finance environment.</span></p><h5><span><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></span></h5><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Manage general ledger accounting including month end close period to 4 days.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>To ensure all information produced is accurate and well presented.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Assist with Completing the Monthly Management Accounts Pack to deadline.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Accruals and Prepayments schedules, posting and reconciling.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Prepare financial statements, annual reports, and statutory statistical submissions.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Maintain the fixed asset register, post depreciations, disposals, sales, and review assets under construction, including Demo inventory.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Post and reconcile intercompany balances for UK / European subsidiaries.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Prepare and reconcile UK VAT, Tax / Deferred tax postings</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Post payroll files, accrue and reconcile salaries, pension costs, and related taxes.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Budget Holder Reports</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Bank Reconciliations</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Balance Sheet Reconciliations</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Other ad hoc requirements to ensure deadlines are hit with the team of 3 management accountants.</span></p></li></ul><h5><span><strong>What you'll bring:</strong></span></h5><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant role.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Experience with manufacturing environments.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Strong communication and interpersonal abilities</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Experience with European entities would be an advantage but not essential.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Proficiency with financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics F&O, Medius, Cognos or equivalent) Advanced Excel user.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>What we can offer you:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p>25 days' annual leave + 8 paid bank holidays</p></li><li><p>6% employer pension contribution</p></li><li><p>Company bonus scheme</p></li><li><p>Flexible working hours</p></li><li><p>Life assurance (4x annual salary)</p></li><li><p>Health & wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme, 24/7 remote GP access and annual flu vaccinations</p></li><li><p>Reward, recognition and long-service awards</p></li><li><p>Cycle to Work and gym membership schemes</p></li><li><p>Savings and retail discounts</p></li><li><p>Professional membership fee reimbursement</p></li><li><p>Employee referral incentives</p></li><li><p>Social events and volunteering opportunities</p></li></ul>
