At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical Neuroscience, Health and Rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for an Associate Researcher employment at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. At the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry at the Sahlgrenska Academy, neurochemical research is focused on identifying and studying pathophysiology and pathologies in neurodegenerative diseases. We offer a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment. ## Duties The Associate Researcher will oversee and contribute to the data management of the REAL AD study and other ongoing projects in the research group, from raw data capture through the preparation of cleaned analytical datasets. Moreover, assistance in monitoring participant adherence in real time using interactive data dashboards and proactively resolving any issues with devices/research tools and communicating updates to the principal investigators will be required. Liaising with lab staff and external partners to streamline sample tracking and maintain efficient data flow. Additionally, the research assistant will be asked to handle administrative tasks related to the activities of the REAL AD study and the research group in general. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to develop and contribute to research communication, manuscript preparation, and conference presentations. ## Qualifications Essential Criteria: To qualify as an Associate Researcher for this employment, the applicant should: - Hold a relevant BSc or MSc degree in Medicine, Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, Statistics or similar. - Have strong skills in data science, managing multi-modal datasets. - Have excellent written and spoken Swedish and English language skills. Desirable experience: - Understanding of statistical modelling, biomarker data analyses and good clinical research practices. - Proficiency in programming (e.g. R, Python, MATLAB, Bash). - Previous experience with clinical research framework systems such as REDCap. - Interest in coordination of research projects and participant communication. Personal qualities and overall suitability will therefore carry considerable weight in our selection. ## Employment The employment is limited (temporary) for 11 months, 100% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology.
