Till vår kund så letar vi efter en 'Senior Backend Developer' Project Description The team is responsible for maintaining and developing business-critical case management applications used primarily by Customer Service. These applications support daily operations and are essential for efficient case handling, stable service delivery, and a strong internal user experience. The assignment focuses on lifecycle management (LCM) of legacy applications, including modernization, technical debt reduction, platform upgrades, and remediation of lifecycle and security-related risks. The team is also contributing to the development of a modern user interface supporting case management and KYC-related processes. The consultant will work as an integrated team member, contributing to modernization initiatives, shared priorities, and the adoption of AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices. Assignment Context - Maintain and modernize business-critical case management applications. - Drive lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, and platform upgrades. - Support the development of modern solutions for case management processes. - Contribute to modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development and trunk-based development. Primary Focus This senior backend-focused role is centered on lifecycle management (LCM) and modernization of legacy applications. The assignment includes reducing technical debt, mitigating lifecycle and security risks, supporting platform migrations, and ensuring that business-critical applications remain stable, maintainable, and compliant. Required Competencies - Strong backend development experience with enterprise applications, integrations, and business-critical systems. - Solid experience with .NET/C#, databases, APIs, and application maintenance. - Experience modernizing and maintaining legacy systems, including technical debt reduction. - Experience planning and executing migrations from older .NET Framework/.NET Core versions to modern .NET platforms. - Hands-on experience migrating repositories and CI/CD pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub/GitHub Actions. - Ability to identify and remediate outdated components, unsupported frameworks, and security vulnerabilities. Preferred Competencies - Experience with Windows Server migrations. - Knowledge of software lifecycle management, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms. - Experience from regulated industries, case management, KYC, insurance, or similar process-intensive domains. Modern Engineering Practices - Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and quality-focused development. - Familiarity with trunk-based development. - Strong focus on clean code, maintainability, security, and long-term sustainability. AI-Assisted Development - Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. - Ability to combine AI support with engineering expertise, security awareness, and high quality standards. Collaboration and Personal Qualities - Fast learner with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
