Backend Software Engineer (Go) - UniFi Connect

Requirements: 5+ years of experience with Golang in a production environment 5+ years of experience working with relational databases (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL or MySQL Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable mindset Proficiency in AI development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and expertise in AI development techniques, such as Spec-Driven Development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong sense of ownership of tasks and responsibilities Highly proficient in English (written and spoken) Nice to have: Experience developing or maintaining IoT platforms or connected device ecosystems, including best practices for security (authentication, encryption, secure communication) Knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, or WebSockets for efficient communication Familiarity with Matter and Thread protocols, including their architecture, security, and implementation considerations Understanding of device provisioning, firmware over-the-air (OTA) updates, and device lifecycle management Exposure to edge computing paradigms and cloud-to-device integration patterns Proficiency in asynchronous programming and event-driven systems Experience with telemetry data collection, real-time data processing, and time-series data stores Familiar with Debian/Ubuntu, Linux application/service development, and CLI environment Familiar with Linux networking stack, routing, packet analysis (tcpdump/Wireshark), and firewall management Benefits International work environment Competitive compensation package including wellness allowance, occupational pension, medical insurance, private health insurance, life insurance and work-injury insurance Five weeks of holiday per year Flexible work hours and hybrid work model Modern office space located in Epicenter (Hötorget) Access to all the latest Ubiquiti products and prototypes for home use and tests Please note that a background check will be conducted in the final stage of the recruitment process
