Business Analyst IT

The opportunity The IT Business Analyst is responsible for the day to day support of Gildan's suite of software applications by solving organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing solutions; recommending system controls and protocols and training end users. This position sits in the IT Department reporting directly to the Director, IT. The role Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Design solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications. Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications. Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures. Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions. Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. The Requirements A bachelor's degree in information technology. At least 5 years' experience in the analysis and design of corporate systems. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Detail oriented. Ability to meet strict deadlines.
