Business Controller

Assignment description We are looking for an experienced Business Controller who wants to combine finance, technology and business in a role supporting Battery & Charging within a global R&D organization. In this role, you will act as a trusted Business Partner to R&D leaders, providing financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making and the development of future battery and charging solutions. The R&D organization is undergoing significant changes in ways of working, systems and roles, and Controlling is evolving accordingly. You will contribute to shaping and implementing the future financial management model while working in a global environment with close connections to engineering, project management and finance. You will be part of a small Controlling team and work closely with R&D leaders, project managers and finance colleagues across the organization. Your responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as financial analysis, business cases and scenario assessments to support decision-making. You will also work with KPI follow-up, reporting and presentations and contribute to the development of future Controlling processes, methods and tools. The role includes supporting strategic decision-making, financial steering and business performance, while collaborating across leadership teams, R&D functions and other Controlling teams in a global organization. Qualifications You have a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field. You have at least 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling. You have an interest in electrification, battery technologies and the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry. You have proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and support business performance in a structured and analytical way. You have experience partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams in complex and international environments. You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across both finance and operational functions. You have strong analytical and digital capabilities, including advanced skills in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint. You have high integrity, curiosity and an interest in understanding products, technology, operations and the key business drivers behind successful R&D organizations. You are collaborative and able to create value through teamwork, networking and cross-functional cooperation. You are professionally fluent in English, both written and spoken.
