Business developer

Assignment description We are looking for a Business Developer Controlling to strengthen a Business Development and Strategy team within R&D. The role combines finance and controlling expertise with business development and strategic project management. You will work across organizational boundaries to improve financial governance, planning and decision-making. The assignment also includes driving strategic initiatives that contribute to how the R&D organization operates. Responsibilities Clarify and develop financial interfaces, roles, and responsibilities between R&D and other relevant organizational units. Drive strategic finance and controlling projects within R&D. Improve financial planning, reporting, and follow-up processes. Drive prioritization of R&D investments together with Commercial stakeholders. Develop financial governance, management processes, and internal controls. Analyze financial data to identify key drivers, improve data quality, and increase transparency around financial performance. Identify and develop digital and AI-based solutions to improve financial processes and decision-making. Coordinate financial activities related to externally funded R&D projects, where applicable. Qualifications: Must Have: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering Economics At least 5 years of experience in project management and finance/controlling. Experience in finance, controlling, or financial business development. Strong skills in financial analysis and accounting. Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tools. Excellent English communication skills. Nice To Have: Experience in finance, controlling, or financial business development within R&D, engineering, or another complex industrial environment. Experience with external funding, including EU or national funding, financial reporting, funding regulations, or audit processes. Swedish, German, Portuguese. Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Self-driven and solution-oriented. Strategic perspective combined with a hands-on approach. Ability to work independently in a complex environment. Ability to see both the bigger picture and relevant details. Comfortable working across organizational boundaries.
