We at WeQuel are now looking for an experienced, business-oriented Business Controller in Södertälje. You will join a diverse team of business controllers supporting the client's Research & Development business, with a focus on steering and planning processes and tools. In this role you will support and drive financial processes, take part in strategic decision-making and make sure financial targets are met. Research & Development is going through major changes in ways of working, systems and roles, and Controlling is changing with it. Controlling works in a global context and plays an important role as a business partner. You will help design and implement the future financial management model. There you will help optimise processes, strengthen financial steering and create sustainable, long-term solutions. Your responsibilities: Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting Financial analysis and reporting Financial closing processes KPI follow-up and performance management Influencing cost development Support for strategic business decisions Business partnering with management teams Contributing to the design and implementation of the future financial management model You will work in a changing, global matrix organisation where solutions are not always clearly defined. Your core team is four business controllers and the manager. It is a diverse team supporting the Powertrain development business within the client's R&D. Outside the core team, you will have a broad network across R&D controlling and other controlling functions. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in Business Controlling or a similar finance controlling role Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting Experience with financial closing processes, KPI follow-up and performance management Experience influencing cost development and supporting strategic business decisions Experience supporting or partnering with management teams Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams Experience from an international, global business environment is highly desirable Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering English required; Swedish is a plus Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong knowledge of Power BI SAP experience is a strong advantage Strong systems knowledge and data analysis skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Structured, results-oriented approach with high-quality outcomes Strong business acumen and interest in product and business development Able to work effectively in a changing environment where solutions are not always clearly defined High integrity and professional judgment Excellent communication and presentation skills Able to build strong relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders Able to influence decision-making across organisational levels Strong collaboration skills in a global matrix organisation Assignment details Start date: 2026-09-18 End date: 2026-12-31 (approx. 3 months) Location: Södertälje Workload: 100% Remote: 100% ONSITE (5 days/week on site) Interview format: Online and on site Maximum notice period: ASAP The client's environment A dynamic, flexible workplace, including access to the client's hubs at Sergel and Midway A structured development plan and courses supporting career growth, locally and internationally Wellness allowance, bonus, flexible hours and company car leasing Events for employees and their families Direct express bus service from Stockholm to Södertälje for an easy commute We offer At WeQuel, you become part of a consulting team that values people first.
