Calibration Engineer

Aurobay Sweden is looking for a Calibration Engineer to the group Vehicle Motion Control in the department Engine Controls & Diagnostics.  We are shaping the drivability and feel attributes according to customer demands. Responsible for functional development, calibration and verification of the complete powertrain functions. Our team consists of calibration engineers and function developers. We deliver system design, software development, function implementation, calibration and verification to combustion engines in both mild hybrid and hybrid applications. From an early stage we are involved in the development of new powertrain concepts and its oftware where we have the responsibility for vehicle drivability. We develop solutions that meet both requirements and give the customer outstanding performance. Early in our projects we are simulating vehicle behaviors to calibrate our software-models. Validation within labs, engine/mules, and later sign off verifications which are always performed on production intended test objects. The job variety is huge and the need for further development is always there, which provides an interesting research atmosphere. Assignment description What you’ll do You will work in a team with experienced engineers but have a clear area of responsibility. Your tasks will be to calibrate and develop functions within drivability. Perform a variety of tests located in different places, e.g. in our laboratory, in test vehicles on site and during expeditions in extreme conditions like hot/cold climates and altitudes. You will use advanced programs for coding, modelling and data processing. Main tasks: - Deliver calibration and verification of drivability related functions. - Verify calibration in labs and vehicles in different environments. - Evaluation and problem analysis. - Plan and develop methods of the calibration process. Requirements Qualifications: • We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in the field of Mechanical, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent • You have a passion for cars and internal combustion engines. • Fluent in Matlab/Python/Simulink • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Driver’s license (B-level, passenger car) Appreciated qualifications: • Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken) • Good knowledge of combustion engines, transmissions and electric drives • Passion for vehicles and powertrains • Theoretical courses in combustion engines, software programming and electronics • Experience in ETAS INCA software  Personal qualities • Self-driven with a positive attitude • Strong analytical skills as well as being able to execute tests “hands-on” • You plan, conduct, summarize and report your work in a structured and thorough manner About Horse Powertrain This role is employed by Aurobay Technologies, Sweden, a division of Horse Powertrain Limited and is based in Sweden.
