Our focus is always on high quality, professionalism and clear, measurable results.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>We are now seeking a <strong>Category Manager </strong>for one of our clients.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>About the assignment</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Professional Galaxy currently looking for an experienced Category Buyer for a long-term consulting assignment within a global industrial organization.<br><br>In this role, the consultant will be part of a global sourcing function within Mechanics & Electromechanics, with responsibility for a defined category of Soft & Shaped Materials. The assignment focuses on optimizing supplier value and driving performance across quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and technology (QDCST).<br>The consultant will operate in an international and cross-functional environment, working closely with category management, engineering, and business stakeholders to strengthen sourcing strategies and supplier performance<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>Own, develop, and execute the category strategy aligned with business objectives<br>Analyze sourcing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance improvements<br>Develop and manage a competitive and sustainable supplier base<br>Drive continuous improvement of supplier performance across QDCST dimensions<br>Lead supplier relationship management (SRM) activities and performance reviews<br>Conduct commercial negotiations and manage supplier agreements<br>Secure capacity planning and long-term sourcing strategies<br>Monitor market trends, pricing developments, and supplier innovations<br>Ensure proactive risk management within the supply chain<br>Drive implementation of engineering changes in collaboration with technical teams<br>Identify and leverage synergies across business units and categories</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><br>Education & Experience<br>Relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience<br>Solid experience in strategic sourcing or category management<br>Background from industrial or manufacturing environments<br>Proven experience in supplier negotiations and development<br><br>Technical Skills<br>Strong analytical skills and experience working with sourcing data<br>Good understanding of contract management and supplier evaluation<br>Experience from global sourcing environments<br>Knowledge of QDCST framework is considered an advantage</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Uppdragsstart:</strong> 2026-09-01</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Distansarbete:</strong> Nej</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Uppdragslängd:</strong> 12 months</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Område:</strong> Stockholm</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Svar senast:</strong> 2026-06-07</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Are you the right person for the assignment, or do you want to recommend a strong candidate?
