Job description:Manage construction sourcing and supplier performance across Europe Are you interested in working with construction procurement in a global company contributing to the green transition? As Category Specialist – Construction Procurement, you will manage key construction categories across NKT’s European sites, supporting projects with sourcing, supplier management, and contract processes. Do you want to be part of projects that shape future infrastructure? Plan and execute procurement strategies for construction projects In this role, you will manage construction-related categories such as civil works, materials, contractors, and subcontracting. You will build and develop your local supporting sourcing network, work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with timelines, budgets and requirements, ensuring quality and supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibility will be to: • Develop and implement category strategies for construction spend • Conduct sourcing processes including RFI, RFP, and RFQ • Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts and commercial terms • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements • Support contract administration and mitigate supply chain risks You will be part of a procurement team collaborating with multiple project stakeholders across Europe. The position is based in Sweden at one of NKT’s locations in Malmö or Karlskrona, with some travel required. You approach tasks with structure and attention to detail, while remaining responsive to changing project needs. You communicate clearly and contribute to constructive collaboration.
