Cell Biology Scientist

Qualifications: B.S. degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or a similar field) with 4-6 years of relevant laboratory experience. Demonstrated experience with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture (experience with iPSCs is a plus). Competence in molecular biology laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques, e.g. qPCR, Western Blotting and immunofluorescence. Ability to help manage lab inventory and update related tracking files. Demonstrated understanding of biology lab safety requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication, work planning, data analysis, troubleshooting, and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and Willingness to learn new techniques.   Preferred Qualifications: Background and interest in neurodegenerative disease research, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and ALS. Hands on experience with iPSCs and neuronal differentiation. Experience with electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation.
