Certification Engineer

Our client is looking for a Certification Engineer – within the China market to support certification activities and ensure compliance of Scania products for the Chinese market. In this assignment, you will work closely with the certification team in China as well as the local distributor to support the successful registration and type approval of customer vehicles. You will work within a broad network across the Business Group, collaborating with certification engineers, designers, test engineers, and other relevant stakeholders. The role includes supporting regulatory analysis, collecting technical documentation, coordinating certification-related activities, and providing the Chinese market with the product information required for national type approvals. Key Responsibilities • Contribute to legal and regulatory analysis within projects to support compliance with Chinese regulations. • Collect and coordinate data, drawings, and other relevant documentation required for Chinese certification activities. • Participate in planning national certification inspections and tests. • Support the Chinese market with product information and technical details required for national type approvals. • Support and troubleshoot systems used for type approval activities. • Collaborate with certification engineers, designers, test engineers, and other relevant stakeholders. • Work closely with the certification team in China and the local distributor. • Contribute to continuous improvement of certification processes and cross-functional collaboration. Experience & Skills • Experience relevant to certification, regulatory compliance, type approval, engineering, or a related technical area. • Ability to understand and work with technical product information, data, and drawings. • Ability to work with regulatory requirements and support compliance-related activities. • Strong ability to coordinate activities and information across different stakeholders and functions. • Comfortable working in a broad international and cross-functional network. • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. • Structured and flexible approach with the ability to prioritize between different activities. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
