Om jobbet (About the Role): Gothenburg International School (GIS) is seeking a passionate and qualified Primary School Teacher to join our dynamic international team. As a teacher at GIS, you will inspire students through a creative, inquiry-based curriculum rooted in the British approach to education (Cambridge Curriculum). Dina arbetsuppgifter (Your Responsibilities): Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons following the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. Assess and monitor student progress, providing continuous feedback and support. Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development. Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the overall school community and extracurricular activities. Kvalifikationer (Qualifications & Requirements): Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, Bachelor of Education). Language Skills: Native or near-native fluency in English (teaching language is English). Swedish language skills are a plus, but not required. Experience: Experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum or British Key Stages is highly desirable. Requirements: A valid Swedish register extract (belastningsregister för skola eller förskola) is required prior to employment. You will play a key role in supporting learning, assisting with classroom management, and fostering a safe, positive environment for our students. Dina arbetsuppgifter (Your Responsibilities): Support the lead teacher during lessons and classroom activities. Assist individual students or small groups needing extra support in English, Math, or general learning. Help supervise outdoor breaks, lunchtimes, and school excursions. Assist in preparing classroom materials and learning resources. Kvalifikationer (Qualifications & Requirements): Fluent in spoken and written English. Previous experience working with children in a school, preschool, or childcare setting. Strong communication skills and a patient, warm personality. A valid Swedish register extract (belastningsregister) is required prior to employment.
