Cloud Platform Engineer
Responsibilities: Implement, maintain, and support build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, Gitlab, ArgoCD, etc, across hybrid cloud computing environments. Read and understand various application programming interfaces (APIs) and implement automation as required. Develop & Improve automation for efficient deployment and management of cloud resources using tools such as Terraform, Ansible. Integrate security and compliance into the platform by implementing services such as encryption and access management to meet DISA STIGs compliance with security standards and policies across hybrid containerized environments. Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Assist development teams with implementing containerized deployments utilizing tools such as Kustomize, Helm and Docker/Podman. Account for disaster recovery scenarios, implement & test backup and recovery procedures. Monitor the environment for performance metrics and alerts, identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions. Stay abreast of latest DevSecOps and Cloud Native technologies and work with stakeholders to recommend more efficient solutions. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years' direct experience with any of the following: Experience with Linux/Unix Administration. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes. Proficient in one or more computer programming languages commonly used in scripting & automation. Such as, but not limited to Bash, Python, Go, Rust Demonstrated experience in automating cloud deployments and developing infrastructure as code (IaC). Amazing to Have: Possess and maintain relevant DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II Certification Familiarity with open-source tooling, contributing to open-source tools, ability to find root cause and open useful issues. Prior experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Consul, Linkerd) Background in VMWARE vSphere and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Proficient in applying DISA STIGs within cloud and containerized environments. Possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) AWS DevOps Professional GIAC Cloud Security Automation HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate or equivalent experience Clearance: An Active TS/SCI is required #LI-Defense As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
