Compliance Officer

Our results were far beyond the Industry and International standards, with over 95% of our colleagues participating in the survey, with a confidence level of 95% as an inclusive place to work We are now recruiting for a Compliance officer to join our team in Dublin on permanent basis This key role as part of the compliance team is to act at the second line of defense in the Amtrust International system of Governance Framework, providing advice and guidance to accountable business owners in order to mitigate risks, provide assurance to the AIU board and promoting ethical behaviour across the organisation. Essential functions of this role will include but are not limited to: Assessing AIU’s regulatory compliance risks, in particular Conduct, Consumer Protection and Operational; and providing advice and guidance to the accountable business owners to mitigate these risks, in accordance with the legal, regulatory and conduct risk appetites set by the AIU Board.Assist the Company in managing compliance risks effectively through the provision of advice and support, risk-based monitoring and assessment of compliance controls, and relevant training and awareness to staff. Support and contribute to regulatory compliance risk remediation programmes arising from outcomes of horizon scanning and monitoring as key drivers. Support the Head of Compliance to provide relevant stakeholders with regular reports assessing the status of compliance risk, and recommendations to promote effective compliance systems and controls.Participate, as required, in tracking and assessing emerging regulation and guidance, including communication of requirements to relevant business functions. Successful candidates will possess a strong compliance background with a particular focus on conduct & consumer protection, as well as experience within the insurance or financial services sector. The right candidate will have strong organisational skills, be detail oriented, a good working knowledge of MS office, be an effective communicator, someone who thrives in an ever-changing environment, someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and someone who is not afraid to provide quality advice and guidance to all areas of the businesses as well as constructively challenging the norm.
