Creative Copywriter
As a Creative Copywriter, you’ll lead the development of commercial concepts and campaign ideas, and see them through from first idea to final execution across all our channels. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Brand and Content team, particularly our global art director, product copywriter and graphic designers, to ideate, create and communicate stories about POC, our products and our athletes. You’ll be able to run with ideas from start to finish. You’ll feel just as comfortable presenting and defending new concepts as you do writing copy and content for everything from advertising to digital content, social media, and editorial. You’ll work closely with the product team to turn early-stage product backgrounds, colour stories and seasonal themes into sharp, tangible concepts, messaging frameworks and storylines that guide all communication. Product copy, packaging copy and SEO content are handled elsewhere in the team. This role is about the big ideas and the stories that carry them. WHAT YOU’LL DO Turn product development ideas into consumer-facing concepts. Play a role in evolving the brand experience and guidelines, including the POC voice and tone. Ensure creative concepts stay present from ideation until delivery. Write campaign copy – concepts, headlines, taglines, scripts and key messaging – for digital and print advertising, film, physical stores, social media and campaign landing pages. Develop stories to engage with our community. Translate product insight into clear creative direction. YOU – Love creating concepts and commercial strategies just as much as you love writing. – Are a native or native-level English writer. – Have at least 3 years of experience as a creative copywriter, from an agency or in-house, including campaign concepts you’ve led from idea to launch. – Have a portfolio that shows campaign concepts and ideas you’ve developed, not only written copy. – Are confident presenting and pitching ideas to stakeholders and senior leadership. – Are comfortable working across different types of media and formats. – Know media production, communication and dissemination techniques. – Understand principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services. – Can lead and motivate others to follow a particular direction. – Can both give and receive feedback, and alter ideas, approaches or deliveries accordingly. – Are flexible and willing to adapt priorities to meet business needs. – Have an interest in skiing and/or cycling (a plus, not a requirement). – See AI as a useful tool and know when it can help you work smarter and simplify the copy process without compromising on craft or brand voice.
