Responsibilities Lead and ensure compliance with Microsoft’s Energy Isolation (Lockout/Tagout) programme across the campus. Establish and maintain acceptance criteria for Energy Isolation Plans. Drive consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement in energy isolation processes. Apply local regulations and industry standards to support programme implementation. Partner with Engineering teams to develop and manage campus-wide LOTO procedures. Oversee and coordinate energy isolation activities, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Collaborate with construction and operational teams to minimise risk to critical datacentre services. Act as the subject matter expert during energy isolation investigations and incident reviews. Participate in high-risk activity planning and review meetings. Review SOWs, SOPs, and MOPs to ensure all energy sources are identified and controlled. Verify personnel qualifications, training requirements, and PPE compliance. Produce monthly programme status and activity reports. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience; or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 1+ year of technical engineering experience; or Equivalent professional experience. Security Requirements Candidates must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 5+ years of technical engineering experience; or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience; or Equivalent professional experience. Experience working in critical environments and mission-critical infrastructure. Knowledge of Control of Hazardous Energy (CoHE) and energy isolation/LOTO programmes. Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, controls, and life-safety systems. Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, construction drawings, and system redundancy designs. Experience with building management systems (BMS), automation, and controls platforms. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and documentation.
