Data Analyst
At Volvo Group, we use data to improve how we buy, partner, and deliver value. In this role, you will strengthen the data foundation for GBP Global Business Development and help buyers and managers move from reporting to true self-service analytics, with trusted data, clear standards, and tools that scale, while working in a multinational, global team.
What you will do
You collect, structure, and analyze data to solve opportunities and problems defined by the purchasing business. You design and develop the data structure for the global bus purchasing domain, including source mapping, integration, data quality, and governance, ensuring information is consistent, accessible, and decision-ready.
You design reusable data models, dashboards, and self-service analytics tools that enable a broad user community to explore data confidently. You work end-to-end, from understanding the business need and shaping the approach, to building scalable solutions, validating outcomes, and enabling adoption across the user community.
You work closely with IT and digital service teams on data source design, pipelines, and architecture decisions. You deliver actionable insights using relevant statistical methods, and you document assumptions, limitations, lineage, and quality to support sound decision-making. You contribute to capability-building across the purchasing community through coaching, mentoring, and guided materials, collaborating day-to-day with colleagues across regions and functions in a truly global setup.
Who are you
You bring a university degree or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years in a senior data analyst or data-focused role. You have strong hands-on skills in data modeling, SQL, and BI/analytics tooling (for example Power BI), and you are comfortable handling large, complex datasets with well-structured, reusable code.
You thrive in an environment that values independence and ownership, and you are self-driven, proactive, and ready to challenge the status quo to improve how things are done. You design with scalability and self-service in mind, not just one-off reporting, and you can drive deliveries end-to-end with high quality and transparency. You communicate clearly and can translate analysis into decisions and actions for business stakeholders in a multicultural context. You work securely and ethically with data and tools, and you are fluent in English.
What’s in it for you
- A role with clear impact on global bus purchasing performance and decision-making at scale
- The opportunity to shape standards, data models, and self-service frameworks across GBP
- A collaborative, multinational environment with close partnership across business, IT, and digital teams
- A culture that values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and practical improvement
