We’re one of the world’s oldest start-ups — and we’re just getting started. CE&ACC R&D consists of approximately 30 colleagues across three teams: two development teams and one test and verification team. We are now looking for an engaged mechanical engineer to join our Accessories team. Accessories develops a broad range of products, including carrying systems, personal protective equipment such as helmets and hearing protection, tools and equipment for forestry work and arborists, as well as several other product areas. The Accessories team consists of five mechanical engineers and a Group Manager. It is a experienced team where colleagues work closely together, exchange knowledge and use each other’s experience even when working in different projects and initiatives. The team values openness, humility, shared learning and individual ownership. Role Description As a Design Engineer Accessories, you will work with both new product development and product maintenance, taking ideas from early concepts through to industrialized products. You will be part of cross-functional development projects and collaborate with R&D, Global Design, Purchasing, Product Management, test laboratories, factories and external suppliers. Your responsibilities will include: Developing concepts and prototypes and following up samples and test results together with test engineers. Taking technical responsibility for the approval of parts and products within your scope. Creating 3D models in Catia V5, drawings and technical documentation. Building and maintaining BOM structures in Teamcenter. Ensuring technical documentation meets requirements through internal and external reviews. Independently planning and driving your work across both development and maintenance activities. The role involves close collaboration with functions such as testing, calculation, quality, manufacturing and external partners. Occasional travel may be required, mainly within Sweden and only exceptionally internationally. Your profile You are analytical, structured and able to independently plan and drive your work. At the same time, you are creative and take initiative, turning ideas into practical results. You enjoy working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and contributing with an open and humble approach. We believe you have: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably within product development or mechanical engineering. 3-5 years of mechanical design experience, including injection-moulded plastic components. Good knowledge of Catia V5 and experience working in a PDM/PLM system. Knowledge of polymer materials, measurement technology and geometric assurance. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Experience with Teamcenter, Catia V5 surface modelling, injection-moulding tools and polymer manufacturing processes, GD&T, cost calculations, technical project management, time estimation or verification and validation testing is considered an advantage. Location This position will be placed in one of our main sites in Huskvarna. We believe the best ideas happen when we're connected.
