Design Engineer - Electric Motors Global Robotics R&D Technology | Husqvarna Group | Huskvarna About the Team The Electromechanics Design Department within Global Robotics R&D Technology consists of 16 engineers specializing in verification, mechanics, mechatronics, and electronics. We are responsible for the electromechanical systems used in our robotic mower platforms and work across the complete product lifecycle, from technology investigations and feasibility studies to product development projects and maintenance activities. Our team defines system requirements, drives technical coordination across disciplines, and leads verification and validation activities in close collaboration with software, electronics, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams. Assignment We are looking for a Design Engineer with experience in electric motor systems to strengthen our electromechanics team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development of future robotic platforms and act as a technical contributor and coordinator in cross-functional projects. Depending on experience, the role may also include technical leadership responsibilities. Your responsibilities will include: · Development and specification of electromechanical systems and components · Design and evaluation of electric motor and gearbox solutions · Leading technical investigations, concept evaluations, and pre-studies · Cross-functional coordination with software, electronics, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams · Planning and execution of verification and validation activities · Driving continuous improvements in development methodologies, processes, and engineering tools · Supporting technology roadmaps and future motor platform strategies Required Qualifications · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent · Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience · Experience in mechanical or mechatronic product development · Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken Meritorious Experience The following experience is considered highly valuable: · Design and development of electric motors · Gearbox and transmission systems · Electromechanical system architecture · Verification and validation of electromechanical products · Technical leadership or project coordination · Product development within consumer products, robotics, automotive, or related industries Personal Profile We are looking for a curious and driven engineer with a genuine interest in technology and product development.
