About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join a product development team focused on the design and development of structural chassis components for a common automotive platform. The role is primarily focused on CAD design and product development, combined with planning, coordination, and follow-up activities to ensure product maturity and timely delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and customers throughout the product development process. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop structural chassis components for automotive applications. Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 . Develop components including: Brackets Frame components Cross members Cast components Forged components Other structural mechanical components Perform basic engineering calculations to support design decisions. Develop, establish, and follow up on test and validation plans. Support simulation activities when required. Investigate and resolve field quality and product-related issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal customers. Plan and follow up on activities to ensure product maturity and timely deliveries. Independently drive assigned activities from initial design through implementation.. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering and mechanical product development. Previous experience within the automotive industry . Previous experience working with the end client's organization and development environment. Hands-on experience with relevant engineering and product development systems, including: OAS TestIT FRAS TTR Strong practical experience with CATIA V5 . Proven experience creating and maintaining 2D manufacturing drawings . Strong understanding and practical experience with GD&T and tolerance chain analysis. Experience designing structural mechanical components. Experience designing and developing: Steel components Cast components Forged components Brackets and other structural components Language Requirements: Fluent English , both written and spoken. Fluent Swedish , both written and spoken.
