Design Engineer

For our client we are looking for a Design Engineer Assignment Overview As a Design Engineer within our team, you will work with developing new structural chassis components for the common client platform. The role is primarily focused on CAD design work, combined with planning and follow-up activities to ensure product maturity and timely deliveries. You will establish test, simulation and time plans as part of the product development process and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and customers. Key Responsibilities Design and develop structural chassis components for the client platform. Create and maintain 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings in CATIA V5. Develop components such as brackets, frame components, cross members, casted parts and forged parts. Perform basic engineering calculations to support design decisions. Establish and follow up test and validation plans. Support simulation activities when required. Investigate and resolve field quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal customers. Drive assigned tasks independently from design through implementation. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.' Experience Mandatory Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering and product development. Previous experience from the automotive industry. Previous experience working at the client Hands-on experience with the clients systems such as: OAS TestIT FRAS TTR Strong experience using CATIA V5. Experience creating and maintaining 2D manufacturing drawings. Experience working with GD&T and tolerance chain analysis. Experience designing structural mechanical components. Experience designing: -Steel parts -Cast parts -Forged parts -Brackets and similar structural components Meritorious Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX). Technical Skills Mandatory CATIA V5. Good understanding of mechanical product development processes. Ability to perform basic engineering calculations related to component design. Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance management. Experience working with structural chassis components. Language Requirements Fluent English, written and spoken. Fluent Swedish Personal Characteristics Team-oriented and collaborative. Open to supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge. Strong communication skills. Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. Structured and proactive. Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and driving activities forward.
