We are looking for a Development Engineer in Extrusion & Polymers to join our team at Optinova's Innovation Center in Godby. As a Development Engineer, you will play an important role in developing and optimizing extrusion processes, supporting both new business opportunities and the continuous improvement of existing products and technologies. You will collaborate with committed colleagues, customers, suppliers, and partners around the world, combining hands-on experimentation with scientific analysis to drive innovation, challenge ideas, and advance development together to build technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Drive extrusion trials and product development activities Analyze data and translate insights into practical improvements. Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers across our global organization. Act as a technical expert within extrusion and polymer-related topics. Explore new polymer materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods to support innovation. Share knowledge and contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on learning and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and turning ideas into practical solutions. You have: A degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or Materials Science A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving and experimentation. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and practical way. A collaborative and curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, as you will collaborate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and partners around the world. The Following Qualifications Are Considered an Advantage: Experience within the medical device industry or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Experience working with extrusion processes, polymer materials, or similar manufacturing technologies. Knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage, as some communication is conducted in Swedish. Compensation The salary range for this position is EUR 4200-4700 per month. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may be considered for candidates with specialist expertise or experience exceeding the requirements of the role.
