Diagnostics Engineer

Assignment Description We are seeking a Diagnostics Engineer to join a team developing off-board solutions for vehicle fault tracing, testing and calibration in the aftermarket. The role requires a broad understanding of the complete platform, functional dependencies and how end users interact with the diagnostic tool and vehicle. You will develop testing and calibration operations for diagnostic service tools, create fault-tracing procedures and define troubleshooting strategies for relevant fault codes and symptoms affecting assigned machines and components. You will also verify operations in test rigs and complete vehicles, collaborate across functions to develop optimal aftermarket solutions and contribute actively in an Agile environment. Problem-solving, adaptability and creative, case-specific solutions are important in this role. Required Qualifications: The ability to interpret, analyse and implement engineering specifications A solid understanding of electrical systems architecture Proficiency in spoken and written English A minimum of four to five years of hands-on experience in embedded software, preferably within the automotive industry A strong background in working at complete-vehicle level Experience with GRADE-X or other aftermarket diagnostic tools and aftermarket technology Previous experience working as part of an Agile team It is considered advantageous if you have exposure to software processes and aftermarket operations within the vehicle industry, together with experience of tools and frameworks commonly used in automotive software.
