Digital Copy Editor
What You Will do: Oversee the day-to-day digital properties and content strategies for the team as the final quality check while exercising outstanding editorial judgment to guarantee timely, high-quality output across web copy and other client-facing materials Copyedit and translating supporting teleconference media, reviewing and proofreading English and Chinese text for consistency, accuracy, and clarity based on AP style and/or AMA style, in-house style, and fundamental grammatical standards Support the digital library’s functionality and drive cataloging precision by leveraging organic SEO best practices in conjunction with in-house strategy Communicate across departments to maintain fluid workflows, ensuring all deadlines are met Contribute to developing editorial initiatives, engaging in creative problem-solving with fellow digital editors Experience You Will Bring: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related discipline from a 4-year college or university required 3+ years of copy editing and/or digital media experience, preferably in a business- or industry-focused content Working knowledge of AP and AMA writing styles; experience leveraging these in conjunction with in-house guidelines Experience in digital media editing or writing, including SEO best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent), CRM/CMS systems, and business communication/collaboration platform Proven ability to excel in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and deliver on tight deadlines without sacrificing work quality, whether collaborating or working independently Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in a multitasking environment Excellent verbal and communication skills Confidence to diplomatically communicate with key stakeholders and receive constructive criticism with an optimistic disposition A positive attitude Work samples prepared to provide upon request Skills You Will Bring: Excellent copyediting and translation skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work independently and as a team What We Offer: 14 annual leave days (PTO Days), 11 legal holidays, and 7 full paid sick days Social insurances and housing fund Shanghai CBD location, Hong Kou Football Stadium with Line 3 and line 8 metro Free snacks and beverages in the office, including free coffee Competitive salary depending on experience.
