Electrical Design Engineer – Energy Systems We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a consulting assignment within a technically advanced energy systems environment. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions for complex power systems, from initial design concepts to tender documentation and project handover. The role Your responsibilities will include: • Developing conceptual electrical designs, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), site layouts and technical documentation. • Selecting and sizing electrical equipment, including battery systems, inverters, transformers, cables and medium-/high-voltage components. • Assessing grid connection requirements, protection concepts and control solutions. • Supporting technical feasibility assessments and responding to customer requirements. • Acting as the technical point of contact during the tender phase, ensuring proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable. • Coordinating with engineering, project execution and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover. We are looking for someone who has • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. • Solid experience from the power systems or industrial electrical sector. • Hands-on experience producing electrical design documentation and single-line diagrams. • Experience with grid connection processes and collaboration with grid operators in a Nordic country. • Familiarity with relevant grid codes, electrical standards, power system control and protection. Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), inverter-based power systems, tender engineering or power system simulations is a strong advantage. Knowledge of Nordic ancillary services is also beneficial. You are structured, self-driven and comfortable managing technical decisions under tight deadlines. You communicate complex technical topics clearly in English; Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage. Start : As soon as possible Duration : Initially 6 months, with potential for extension Scope: Full-time Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. At least 3 days per week on site
