Electrical Safety Specialist – Robotics & Automation
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical Safety Specialist to support the development of safe and compliant robotic systems for European and North American markets. You will work within R&D, collaborating with engineering, testing, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure electrical safety throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical safety risk assessments for robotic systems and machinery. Ensure compliance with IEC/EN 60204-1, UL 1740, NFPA 79, and EU Machinery regulations. Review electrical designs, schematics, and technical documentation. Define and verify risk-reduction measures. Support audits, inspections, and certification processes. Provide electrical safety expertise in R&D and product development. Contribute to compliance with ISO 10218 and EMC requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience with electrical systems in industrial machinery, robotics, or automation. Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (IEC, EN, UL, NFPA). Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. Experience with risk assessments and certification processes. Strong communication skills and fluency in English. Meriting qualifications: Experience in R&D or product development. Knowledge of industrial robots and automated systems. Experience working with international safety requirements. Knowledge of EPLAN. Swedish language skills.
