Electronics Design Engineer

Aliant is looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment with an innovative technology company developing advanced electronic products. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved throughout the entire hardware development lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production. About the role As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality electronic hardware for new products. You will collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical and test engineers to ensure robust, reliable and manufacturable solutions. Responsibilities: Design and develop electronic circuits (analog, digital, and mixed signal). Create and review schematics and PCB designs. Select electronic components based on performance, cost, availability, and reliability. Develop prototypes and support hardware bring up and debugging. Integrate sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces, and power management circuits. Ensure designs comply with standards such as EMC, CE and FCC requirements. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and test engineers throughout the product development process. Evaluate new technologies and components for future product development. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes We believe you have Several years of experience in electronic hardware design. Strong knowledge of analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design. Experience creating schematics and PCB designs. Experience with hardware prototyping, debugging and verification. Good understanding of sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces and power electronics. Experience working with EMC and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. A structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
