Electronics Hardware Engineer
Responsibilities: Design and verify electronic PCBs (considering HW, SW, FW, ME, SI, thermal, and acoustic possible issues) ensuring they meet high standards of performance and reliability, and work closely with BSP and FW team to figure out issues and system bring up. Be involved into product life phases from NPI, MP, to EOL. Co-work with function teams, PCB layout, component engineering, firmware, mechanical engineering, electrical power engineering, thermal engineering, QA, software engineering, project management, ID, compliance engineering, etc. to achieve cost-efficient, high-quality, and robust HW design. Work with OEM/CM on manufacturing definition, tests, efficiency, and issues resolved. Define testing items/criteria/coverage to ensure developed system quality. Requirements: BS degree or above in electrical engineering or related field; 5+ years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics/embedded systems design, prototype, bring up, debugging, functional verification and NPI support, DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing) experience; Experience in a related role with experience in system (hardware) designs and leading a design team; Experience with analog and digital circuit design using Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, PADS, or equivalent; Electrical engineering or design experience in one or more of these areas: SOCs/MCUs, Power Management and DC/DC power circuit design, PoE, RF fundamentals, etc; Knowledge of processor architecture, digital circuit design, and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, Ethernet and USB etc; Knowledge of developing robust designs in one or more of these areas: ESD, EMI immunities, Surge, RF Desense; Experience with compliance regulations; Ability to be hands-on in the lab and want to be in the details (soldering, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition); Familiar with one or more of these ICs: Qualcomm/Synaptic/MediaTek/Realtek/Marvell, etc. solutions, and ARM/MIPS platforms; Proficient English and Latvian.
