Embedded Engineer

Assignment description We are looking for an Embedded Engineer to work with system and software development in a product-focused engineering environment. In this role, you will work across different parts of the embedded development chain, from requirements and concept development to system integration, software implementation, testing, troubleshooting and verification. The work is close to the product and combines rapid prototyping with the need to develop robust and production-ready solutions. Projects vary in size and technical scope, and several initiatives may run in parallel. You will work with short development cycles, technical problem solving and adaptations of existing systems, while also taking solutions from early concepts and prototypes towards implementation. The role involves close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and includes both hands-on development and deeper analysis of existing systems. Testing and verification may be performed in rigs or other representative test environments when needed. Must Have You have a master’s degree in mechatronics, physics, computer science or another relevant field. You have experience in embedded software and/or system development. You have experience with vehicle functions, electronics or system integration. You have hands-on experience with development, testing and technical problem solving. You have an interest in building broad knowledge of embedded systems and vehicle architecture. You have experience with CAN communication. You communicate well in English and are comfortable collaborating across teams. Nice to Have It is meritorious if you have experience working with established development processes and engineering systems within the automotive industry. A plus is experience with vehicle architecture and complex embedded platforms. Experience with diagnostics is considered an advantage. It is also meritorious if you have experience within electrification. You are curious, pragmatic and comfortable working across different technical areas. You enjoy learning, investigating problems and taking ownership of finding a way forward. You have a hands-on engineering mindset and are motivated by seeing ideas develop into working solutions. You are also comfortable taking responsibility, collaborating with others and adapting as technical challenges evolve.
