Engineering Manager

Our solutions are ranked # 1 in the world by Gartner and use proprietary technology with roots in cutting-edge computer science research.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Our engineering organization has grown and is entering a new chapter: we are now investing in broadening our product with significantly more capabilities both from acquisitions and organic product development; as well as changing <em>how</em> we build our software, scaling the development organization through smaller long-lived teams, and putting AI agents to work across the development process.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to help drive this change. You will take responsibility for people, delivery, and be a key contributor to set and drive our organizational strategy. This is a people leadership role for someone who has not stopped being an engineer at heart, and who enjoy thinking about and leading changes in software engineering.</span></p><h5 class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h5><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Lead and grow the people</strong></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst"><span>· <strong>Own teams. </strong>Take responsibility for up to ~15 engineers across different seniority levels, manage their performance, growth, and wellbeing. Share vision, set goals, remove impediments, and make sure nothing falls between the cracks.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· <strong>Coach and develop. </strong>Run high-quality 1:1s, give feedback that lands, and genuinely help move careers forward in a rapidly changing software industry.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast"><span>· <strong>Set the tone. </strong>As part of the department’s leadership team, build a culture where engineers feel safe, trusted and motivated to take ownership and do their best work.</span></p><h5><span><strong>Own delivery, end to end</strong></span></h5><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst"><span>· <strong>Ship reliably. </strong>Support your teams in delivering high-quality software, balancing the needs for both technical excellence and time to market.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· <strong>Push ownership outward. </strong>Help us drive the shift to teams that own their software all the way to production, including design, development, deployment, and operations.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast"><span>· <strong>Connect the dots. </strong>Work closely with R&D management, Product Management, other technical leads and stakeholders to keep everyone aligned.</span></p><h5><span><strong>Help lead the transformation</strong></span></h5><p class="MsoListParagraph"><span>· <strong>Change how we work. </strong>Be a key contributor in defining Tacton’s organizational vision and ways of working in the emerging new world of AI-native software development. Ask the right questions and help drive the changes needed.</span></p><h5 class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></span></h5><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst"><span>· Proven experience leading 10+ engineers as direct reports, with the full spectrum of people management: hiring, coaching, performance, career development.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· A genuine technical background in software development, ability to engage credibly with software engineers and understand their day-to-day challenges.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Experience from driving organizational change in engineering teams. You have led or been close to a real shift in how teams operate, not just observed one.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Practical experience with AI in software engineering, at a developer level and a leadership and organizational level.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Experience in companies of comparable scale to Tacton — you know how to navigate complexity without the resources of a large enterprise.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with real empathy and a low-friction, high-trust working style.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Experience from building B2B SaaS or equivalent, serving large enterprise customers with high expectations.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span>· Strategic thinker with a business mindset. You optimize company outcomes and are able to align your teams around company goals.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast"><span>· Comfortable prioritizing and making difficult trade-offs
