<p><span><strong>Role: Facilities Lead</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Reports to: National Facilities Manager</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Location: Darlington (with national travel where necessary)</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Hours: 39</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Salary: £35000-37000 per year (Depending on experience)</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal">We're looking for a Facilities Lead to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our sites remain safe, compliant, efficient, and well-maintained. You'll be responsible for coordinating contractors, managing facilities works, supporting compliance activities, and driving continuous improvement across our locations.</p><p class="MsoNormal">This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership of facilities operations while delivering excellent service to our colleagues and stakeholders.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal">As our Facilities Lead, you'll support the day-to-day management of facilities and contractor activities across our sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, on time, and to a high standard.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Managing contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to agreed standards</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Supporting compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation and KPI requirements</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Monitoring reactive, planned, compliance and remedial works across the business</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Reviewing costs and spend with the line manager to ensure value for money</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Identifying opportunities for cost savings and supporting departmental efficiency initiatives</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Responding calmly and effectively to reactive facilities issues and operational challenges</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Coordinating regular meetings with Health &amp; Safety teams to drive contractor compliance and continuous improvement</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Producing monthly reports on reactive maintenance and compliance activities for key stakeholders</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Managing and improving facilities management systems for reactive and compliance works</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Supporting utility-related activity across the business, including meters, tracing, and finance-related tasks</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Raising, monitoring and administering purchase orders and invoices</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Maintaining accurate spreadsheets, records and reporting data</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Travelling to sites to support projects, facilities activities and wider team initiatives</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance service delivery and efficiency</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Who we're looking for</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal">We're keen to hear from candidates who are highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with multiple stakeholders.</p><p class="MsoNormal">You'll ideally have:</p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse, monitor and report on data</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Strong numerical and administrative capabilities</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Experience using SAP (desirable but not essential)</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders at all levels</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>A positive, flexible, hands-on approach to problem solving</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Strong customer service skills and a collaborative team mindset</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>A willingness to travel to support activities across multiple sites</p></li></ul><p>Please note - this role requires travelling to sites across the UK, therefore a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car is essential. </p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>What’s in it for you?</strong></s
