Field Operations Technician
WHAT YOU WILL DO Technology & Construction Support (Supporting Role) Assist IT Field Technicians with installation of cameras, access control, alarm systems, networking equipment, and POS hardware Run ethernet, connect network hardware, and verify basic connectivity Troubleshoot basic technology issues at retail locations; escalate complex issues to the IT team Learn new systems and techniques through hands-on experience and self-directed research Perform installations across retail locations: wall mounts, shelving, cabinetry, drawers, furniture, and fixtures Complete basic drywall patching, painting, and light exterior work including signage Support store setups, refreshes, and remodel projects Pull and route low-voltage cabling for technology and security systems Work in a range of physical conditions including tight spaces, overhead environments, and confined areas Identify facility issues and escalate repairs as needed Driving & Field Travel Operate a company-provided van to transport equipment and materials statewide Travel primarily to Twin Cities metro and southern Minnesota retail locations Complete drives of 8+ hours as needed; occasional overnight stays required Use personal vehicle when needed; mileage reimbursement provided WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Required: Valid Minnesota driver's license with a clean driving record Must be at least 21 years of age Proven handyman aptitude — you do not need formal training, but you need to be able to figure things out Basic technology comfort — you can follow instructions, set up hardware, and troubleshoot common issues Physically capable of working in tight or uncomfortable spaces and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnights Ability to pass a pre-employment background check Must meet all state requirements for employment at a licensed cannabis facility in Minnesota Preferred: Experience with low-voltage cabling, structured wiring, or security/AV installations Familiarity with basic network hardware and connectivity troubleshooting Experience in retail, construction, or facilities maintenance Any relevant trade certifications or coursework (low-voltage, electrical, IT, or similar) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $70,000 annual salary Company van provided for work travel Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use Benefits package (details provided during hiring process) MN Cannabis Services is an equal opportunity employer.
