Field Service Engineer – Robotics About the Assignment We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with a strong interest in robotics for a consulting assignment within an international industrial and technology organization in Västerås. In this hands-on role, you will work with field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of advanced robotic and industrial equipment. You will support customers on-site, diagnose technical issues, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and help ensure high equipment availability while minimizing downtime. The position involves regular travel to customer sites, primarily using a company vehicle. Key Responsibilities As a Field Service Engineer, you will: Perform field service, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of robotic and industrial equipment. Carry out preventive maintenance in accordance with product and equipment lifecycle maintenance programs. Provide technical support to customers and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Diagnose electrical and/or mechanical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions. Perform service activities at customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner. Apply engineering principles and established procedures when resolving technical and semi-technical problems. Maintain strong and professional relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines and procedures. Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who has: A Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. More than 2 years of hands-on experience in repair, maintenance, field service, or similar technical work. Good understanding of technical products, equipment, and engineering concepts. Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and/or mechanical equipment. A valid driver's license. Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites. A strong commitment to safety and quality. Meriting Qualifications It is considered highly advantageous if you have: Previous experience working with robotics, automation, or industrial equipment. Hands-on experience servicing robotic systems. A strong technical interest in robotics and automation. Experience working directly with customers in a field service environment.
