Finance and Business Development Specialist with Focus on China

About the Job Hanssons is a seafood trading company based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Following its acquisition by Bohai Aquatic Products, a company based in Binzhou, Shandong Province, China, Hanssons is entering a new stage of development with increased focus on international cooperation, financing and business development between Sweden and China. We are now looking for a Finance and Business Development Specialist to support the company’s work with cross-border financing, group coordination and business development. The role involves close cooperation with both Hanssons in Sweden and the parent company in China. Job Responsibilities In this role, you will: Support the company in identifying and preparing financing opportunities through Chinese banks and financial institutions. Help strengthen communication and cooperation between the parent company and the Swedish subsidiary. Support the parent company’s understanding of Hanssons’ operations, market position, financial situation and business needs. Assist Hanssons with group reporting, budget follow-up, cash flow analysis and financial planning. Develop and evaluate financing solutions for Hanssons’ planned new facility construction through Chinese banks and financial institutions. Qualifications We are looking for a candidate who has: A master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, international business or another relevant field. Experience in auditing, financial analysis, accounting, controlling, corporate finance, banking communication, international trade or business development. Good understanding of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow and corporate finance. Experience working with Chinese companies, Chinese banks or China-related business processes. Very good knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and written. The ability to work independently and coordinate communication between parties in different countries and time zones. Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious but not required. Experience from the seafood industry, food trading, import/export or international trading business is also meritorious. You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in an international environment where cooperation with people from different business cultures is required. You are detail-oriented, commercially minded and able to handle both financial and business-related matters in a professional way. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
