Finance Director

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Join IO Interactive’s <strong>Finance team</strong> at our <strong>Copenhagen Studio</strong> as Finance Director and play a key role in shaping the financial direction of a multi-studio, multi-entity games company. You will lead the Finance function, drive the automation of the finance processes, and act as the CFO's trusted partner and second-in-command. Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of Finance while providing strategic, financial, and commercial guidance that supports IO Interactive's continued growth across all studios.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>If you are a strategic finance leader who combines commercial understanding with strong technical expertise, we would love to meet you.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Please note that our finance team is primarily based in Copenhagen, and we would love local leadership; this position requires you to be on-site at our Copenhagen studio. </strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>What you will do</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Finance Leadership</strong></span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Lead the day-to-day Finance organisation across IO Interactive's global studios.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Manage, drive, mentor, and develop Finance team members while building a high-performing and collaborative function.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Drive the ongoing project of full automation of the finance process</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Act as the CFO's right-hand and trusted sparring partner on both operational and strategic matters.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Ensure strong financial governance, controls, compliance, and scalable finance processes across the organisation.</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Financial & Business Leadership</strong></span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all studios and entities.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Provide strategic financial insight and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Translate financial and operational performance into clear actions and business recommendations.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Support decision-making related to investments, headcount planning, studio growth and organisational development.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Partner with Production, Commercial, Technology and Corporate leadership on financial performance and business priorities.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Drive performance management through meaningful reporting, KPIs and financial analysis.</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Controlling & Governance</strong></span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Upscale and improve Financial and Business controlling.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Oversee Accounting, Financial Controlling and Business Controlling activities across the organisation.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Ensure accurate management reporting and financial visibility across studios, projects and functions.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Oversee external audits, statutory compliance, and financial risk management.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Support finance transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Who you are</strong></span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Significant experience in a senior Finance leadership role.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Strong background across Accounting, Financial Controlling and Business Controlling.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Experience leading and driving Finance teams in a complex international organisation.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence strategic business decisions.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Experience partnering with executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Excellent understanding of financial reporting, governance, planning, and performance management.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Strong leadership skills and ability to operate as a trusted advisor.</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>We would love it if you had</strong></span></p><ul><li><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Experience working in the gaming industry.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><s
