Financial Developer to Handelsbanken Markets

Join us as a Financial Developer within the Equity team in the Derivatives and Risk Systems Division at Handelsbanken Capital Markets. We provide trading, compliance, risk and regulatory divisions with advanced and business-oriented solutions while seated on the trading floor – a dynamic environment at the core of the investment bank. Your team Our unit consists of four development teams with separate focus areas; Equity, Fixed Income, Loans and Platform. Together, we are responsible for Handelsbanken’s main trading and risk system, Front Arena PRIME, covering everything from trading and risk management to profit/loss, accounting and regulatory reporting. You will be part of the Equity team and work closely with stakeholders across Trading, Treasury, Quant, Risk Control, Accounting and Compliance to deliver business-critical solutions with a strong focus on quality and time to market. Your role We are looking for a driven developer who wants to build robust and efficient solutions within the financial domain. As a Financial Developer in the Equity team, you will work with asset classes such as equities, futures, options, FX and structured products, while also supporting areas such as profit/loss, Value at Risk, market risk, counterparty risk and regulatory reporting. Your work will cover the full development lifecycle, from analysis and implementation to testing, documentation and production support. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining solutions within Front Arena PRIME. Delivering functionality related to trading, risk management and regulatory reporting. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders across the organization. Participating in analysis, development, testing and documentation. Supporting daily operations in a business-critical environment. Your profile We believe you hold a master's degree or similar with strong academic results and have experience in software development within the financial domain. To succeed in this role, you have: Experience in software development within the financial industry. Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably Python. An interest in financial markets, trading systems and risk management. Swedish language skills, or a willingness to learn Swedish. Experience with Front Arena or similar trading systems is beneficial but not required. As a person, you are solution-oriented, curious and eager to learn.
