Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a first engineering hire opportunity at an early-stage B2B SaaS company building an agentic integration platform for enterprise customers. You'll own core systems end-to-end and set the engineering patterns that every future teammate will build on — working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to ship production-ready software from day one. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime from end to end. - Define the engineering standards and patterns that the growing team will inherit. - Partner directly with the founders, contributing technical opinion and leadership — not just code. - Ship to production continuously, delivering reliable and observable systems to paying enterprise customers. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced startup environments. - Demonstrated ability to build something 0-to-1, whether at an early-stage company or through a serious side project. - Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend development. - Proficiency in Node.js for backend development. - Hands-on experience integrating or building workflows around large language models (LLMs) and agent-based platforms. - Experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL for data storage and database design. - Track record of owning end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with measurable customer impact. - Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and tracing in production systems. - Experience building reliable retry and queuing patterns in distributed systems. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, CA, United States.
