Full stack developer & tech lead to Digital Dealer

For our client we are looking for a Full stack developer & tech lead to Digital Dealer Background: Our product Digital Dealer is used by our retailers and service advisors all around the world. By using new modern technologies, we establish effective resale operations by providing accurate and optimized information to our service employees. We believe you are A person who enjoys working in a team that takes full responsibility for developing and deploying our application, Digital Dealer, to production. You are comfortable with development practices such as event-driven architecture, trunk-based development and continuous deployment. You have the judgment to know when not to ship, the clarity to explain why something is a bad idea, and a focus on building systems that allow teams to move fast with confidence. We also believe that you have previous experience working with back-end development, but front-end and AWS development are also very relevant. But most importantly, you are passionate about technology and continuous learning, as well taking on a senior position within the team, teaching and guiding other developers. You have a burning passion for continuous delivery and rigorous automation. Must haves : Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Kafka and React Good communication- and collaboration skills, a humble, down-to-earth doer Possibility to work from the office in Södertälje in accordance with the setup of the team, currently Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday uneven weeks. Fluency in English Nice haves: Experience from Cloud-native systems, operating applications in AWS/Kubernetes Experience where developers take responsibility for automation, deployment, reliability and operability, rather than handing these over to another team Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab CI What can you expect of us? In this role you will be sharing the responsibility of maintaining and developing some of the micro frontends together with some microservices, that make the entire application. Digital Dealer is entirely cloud-based, deployed in Kubernetes in AWS by GitLab CI pipelines, with React micro-front-ends and backed with Kotlin micro-services. A lot of communication between internal and external services is done through Kafka. As a team, we generally work remotely, usually having one team day a week in the office in Södertälje or Stockholm where we enjoy each other’s company face-to-face. While we expect everyone to be independent and take ownership of their own learning, we are always working closely together sharing the knowledge and decisions between us, and thus we believe your personality plays a big role in your value to the team.
