Function Architect

Assignment description We are looking for a Function Architect to support software and functional changes in a complex embedded development environment. In this role, you will work early in the development flow, from initial idea to an agreed technical solution. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, system owners and other affected teams to understand requirements, identify dependencies and define clear system concepts. A key part of the assignment is to facilitate discussions around technical changes, interfaces, communication flows and system impacts, while ensuring alignment across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will document agreed solutions in the architecture toolchain and contribute to a structured, flow-oriented way of working. Qualifications You have a B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. You have solid experience within function development, system development or system ownership in an embedded environment. You have a good understanding of complex system architectures and how changes in one area can affect other parts of the platform. You have strong communication skills and are comfortable creating alignment across different stakeholder groups. You are fluent in English. Nice to Have It is meritorious if you have experience from complex automotive or embedded engineering environments. A plus is knowledge of communication technologies such as CAN and/or Ethernet. Experience working with continuous delivery or change processes for embedded software is considered an advantage. You are analytical, solution-oriented and interested in working in a broader architecture role. You enjoy collaborating across different technical areas and have a hands-on approach to explaining solutions and ways of working. You communicate clearly and pedagogically and are comfortable coaching others in a pragmatic and humble way.
