Functional Analyst – Manufacturing IT & Digitalization We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join an exciting industrial transformation project involving the development of a new, state-of-the-art production campus in Västerås. The organization is investing significantly in digitalizing its production environment, with the ambition of creating a more data-driven and fact-based manufacturing operation that improves productivity, quality, and efficiency. You will join the Factory IT & Digitalization department and work as one of six Functional Analysts within a broader team of approximately 20 skilled engineers. The team is collaborative and ambitious, working closely across production, engineering, IT, and digitalization. The Assignment The organization is currently in the final phase of implementing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across its production lines. As a Functional Analyst, you will support the implementation through use cases, system configuration, testing, and collaboration with production and engineering teams. You will work in both an advisory and operational capacity, supporting projects as well as ongoing production activities. Key Responsibilities Review and collaborate on process and data maps developed by production engineers. Configure and model processes within the MES system. Plan, perform, and support system testing. Support MES-related use cases and implementation activities. Act as an advisor within digitalization and manufacturing IT. Work closely with engineering teams on projects involving both automated and manual production cells. Support projects and production teams in translating operational requirements into digital solutions. Your Background We are looking for someone who: Has experience with requirements analysis and business systems. Has experience with or strong knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). Has a good understanding of business and production flows. Understands the role of IT and digitalization within the manufacturing industry. Is communicative, self-motivated, and comfortable working with complex processes and multiple stakeholders. Meritorious Qualifications University degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, preferably including programming. Experience with OEE measurement and/or production performance monitoring. Experience from industrial production or manufacturing environments. Previous experience working closely with production engineering and automation teams. Fluency in English is required, while Swedish is highly preferred. Swedish language training can be made available. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and overall suitability for the assignment.
