Job description Help make groundbreaking medical and biomedical research possible Do you want to make a direct contribution to research that improves health and healthcare? As a Grant Advisor, you’ll serve as a substantive sounding board for researchers and help them translate their scientific ideas into successful grant proposals. You’ll advise on funding strategies, guide researchers through the application process, and help secure funding for medical and biomedical research with societal impact. You’ll work in a dynamic academic environment where you’ll navigate a wide range of research topics, disciplines, and grant programs. You enjoy working toward the various deadlines that characterize the grant cycle and draw energy from the variety and dynamism that come with it. What will you be doing? As a Grant Advisor, you will: advise researchers on national and international funding opportunities and appropriate grant and application strategies;guide and coach researchers in developing competitive grant applications;help researchers translate scientific ideas into clear, compelling and competitive funding applications;coordinate internal review processes and monitor progress toward submission deadlines;identify new funding opportunities and translate them into opportunities for researchers;develop and lead workshops, training sessions, and informational meetings on research funding, grant writing, and grant procedures;Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Grant Support Team and with other support functions—such as finance, legal affairs, business development, and policy to provide researchers with optimal support. Depending on your education and experience, you will be placed in pay scale 10. If you already have more relevant experience as a Grant Advisor or in research support, placement in pay scale 11 is negotiable.
