The Group Accountant plays a key role in preparing timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting for the Group. As part of the Group Accounting team, you will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial information to both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory reporting requirements. You will ensure the consistent application of accounting principles across the organization and assist with financial analysis, adjustments, and reporting processes. Assignment description and main responsibilities: The consultant will support the Group Accounting team with the following responsibilities: Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes, including preparation and validation of consolidation entries. Collaborate with subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions. Perform financial analysis and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting. Assist in the preparation of external IFRS financial reports, including notes and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings. Maintain consolidation system data and ensure consistency and accuracy across group entities. Contribute to the development and documentation of group accounting policies and processes. Participate in projects related to group accounting, reporting improvements, and system enhancements. Coordinate with auditors and assist in delivering required audit evidence and explanation. Proactively identify and suggest improvements to group accounting procedures and controls Competence requirements 5–7 years of experience in finance, preferably within a global corporate accounting function or from an audit firm of which 2-3 years of specific Group accounting experience with Financial reporting. Experience to compliance and reporting for listed companies is a must. Experience to SOX compliance and reporting requirements for U.S.-listed companies is advantageous. A university degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent Solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards and familiarity with group consolidation principles Experience in preparing financial reports and working with month-end and year-end closing processes Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks Experience working with consolidation systems; AARO experience is a strong advantage Fluency in English for both written and spoken communication Other requirements Self-motivated, driven, and a proactive attitude towards solving issues and suggesting improvements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders. A solution-oriented mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Please note!
