Group Design Leader - Glass System (Vehicle Engineering)

We are looking for a Group Design Leader - Glass System (Vehicle Engineering) for a global company in Gothenburg. Start is in Aug 2026, 4-months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that. What you will do As a GDL you will work with glass and rails in several projects. The parts that the group is responsible for are developed at Volvo, so-called build to print. You will work in cross-functional teams, and you will be involved from the start of the project until the component has been introduced in production, but also when the car is in so-called running production and changes are needed. You will be responsible for and lead the development of our products in the car projects with responsibility for function, performance and quality. You will have the responsibility to meet the targets for the time plan, technical solution and cost. You will lead and coordinate the cross-functional team, consisting of the needed competences both within Volvo Cars and from suppliers. Qualifications University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You have good experience from project leadership and coordinating cross-functional teams. Meriterious Experience from glass and polymer materials Knowledge in Team Center Since we need somebody up and running really fast, experience from working at Volvo Cars as a GDL is a strong wish. Who you are You are a structured and solution-oriented design engineer with a genuine interest in technology and with the ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time. You possess strong communication skills and are eager to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with others. You are capable of independently performing development tasks in a cross-functional team environment. You have a very good sense of responsibility in order to meet targets for time plan, technical solution and costs. You are not afraid of working in a fast changing and very challenging environment. This is a full-time consultant position in Gothenburg through Incluso. Start is in in Aug 2026, 4 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.
