What You Will Do Build and lead digital policy communications strategies and rapid-response campaigns that support Coupang’s corporate communications, public policy, and business objectives for US and Washington, DC audiences. Oversee Coupang’s policy and US corporate digital assets, including the corporate website, newsroom and social media channels. Direct paid media strategies and targeted advocacy campaigns to amplify key policy messaging and strengthen brand reputation. Partner closely with Public Policy, Communications, Legal, Government Affairs, and business teams to identify, frame, and communicate priority issues. Translate complex policy topics into compelling, high-impact digital content for external stakeholders and decision-makers. Identify risk and mitigate problems before they occur, protecting corporate reputation and brand. Build and maintain editorial calendars, publishing workflows, and content governance frameworks. Analyze engagement metrics and performance data to continually measure impact and optimize strategy. Establish best practices for Coupang’s digital storytelling, content accessibility, and targeted audience engagement across channels. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of communications professionals and manage external agency partners. Drive innovation by identifying emerging digital communication tools, formats, and channels to enhance stakeholder reach. Basic Qualifications Build and lead digital communications and rapid-response strategies that advance Coupang's public policy, corporate reputation, and business objectives with U.S. and Washington, D.C. audiences. Oversee Coupang's U.S. digital ecosystem, including corporate websites, newsroom platforms, and social media channels. Lead paid media and targeted advocacy campaigns that amplify priority messaging, influence key stakeholders, and strengthen brand reputation. Partner closely with Public Policy, Communications, Legal, Government Affairs, and business leaders to develop and execute integrated communications strategies. Translate complex policy, regulatory, and business issues into compelling digital content and storytelling for policymakers, media, and other external stakeholders. Build scalable content operations, including editorial planning, publishing workflows, governance frameworks, and rapid-response processes. Leverage analytics and audience insights to measure effectiveness, optimize performance, and inform communications strategy. Anticipate and mitigate reputational risks while ensuring communications readiness during high-profile and fast-moving situations. Establish best practices for digital storytelling, audience engagement, accessibility, and channel management across platforms. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of communications professionals while managing agency partners and external vendors. Drive innovation by identifying emerging digital trends, technologies, and platforms that expand reach and increase communications impact. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in e-commerce, tech platforms, or highly regulated global industries. Strong background in digital analytics tools, audience insights, and performance measurement frameworks. Experience with Asia-Pacific markets and policy issues. Pay & Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $148,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $256,520/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
