Head of HSE Plant Primary purpose for this role: The main objective of the role is to achieve zero harm and zero environmental incidents, comply with international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS) and embed HSE into business strategy and operational planning. Primary tasks & responsibilities to secure objectiv e: Reduce Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR). Improve near-miss reporting and learning culture. Ensure 100% compliance with PPE and safety local legal requirements. Minimize environmental footprint (waste, emissions, energy use). Conduct regular risk assessments and emergency drills. Drive the implementation of Safe Star and other culture program initiatives Primary deliverables from Protect the health and safety of employees, contractors, and stakeholders, ensure environmental compliance and promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement. Oversight of health, safety, and environmental risks across all operations, from design and material selection to manufacturing and logistics. Handle events, perform RCA and communicate lessons learnt. Provide HSE training and initiatives to prevent injuries & illness Interfaces: Engineering: for design safety risk assessment Production: for HSE work practices, equipment safety, PPE, and hazard/aspects control. Quality: for integrated audits and corrective actions. QHSE Governance: for alignment on IMS. SCM: for selection of suppliers, safe transport and handling of cables, purchase of materials related to HSE. HR: for onboarding, safety inductions, and competency tracking. Regulatory Bodies: for inspections, permits, and reporting. Emergency Services: for incident response coordination. Group HSE teams to ensure group-wide best practices Span of control: It includes both direct and functional responsibilities. 6 direct reports Function around 14 Qualifications: Auditor on ISO 14001 and 45001 Engineering Master degree or technically qualified on HSE legislation and matters according to country regulation. Knowledge on RCA tools Stakeholder management Leadership Experience in risk assessments & machinery risk assessment Experience in implementing a successful HSE culture English + German or + Swedish Microsoft package and AI Communication skills Leadership Result Oriented Analytical thinking Conflict resolution Adaptability (considering the new changes and improvement needed) Start: 2026-10-01 Duration: 3 months Location: Karlskrona, Sweden Consultants must complete the SSG Entrance to gain access to ID cards and other accesses, this is paid for by the consulting company. The consultant must be equipped with steel-toed boots, a high-visibility vest (with the logo of the consulting company) and a mobile phone. Drug test shall be performed before assignment start.
